Buyer BEWARE!!!

Several years ago I purchased a futon and mattress from this particular Better Sleep Store. After it was set up, I became aware that the futon, which had been left in the flat, bed-position, could NOT be readily converted to the seated position. So, thinking that I was doing something wrong, I returned to the store and asked for a demonstration on how to convert it. Well, the salesman called in two young male workers, and together they were able to convert it. Then I explained that I lived alone (I am an older woman), and that I would appreciate if someone could demonstrate on the one I purchased how this was to be done, I was told that someone would come with me, at that time. A young, and very physically capable girl followed me to my home, and tried, repeatedly, to convert it, for almost an hour, without success. Then she suggested that whenever I wanted to convert it, particularly to an upright position, I should call in two younger people. Either that, or, take the mattress off completely, then put the futon in an upright position, then lift the mattress up and on to the futon. For me, that would be impossible. The thing that bothers me most is... what is the purpose of a futon if it does not perform the function that it is designed for?? As far as the Better Sleep Store, once the sale had been made, they really don't care at all about their customers. Save your money. There are much better places to purchase ANY kind of furniture/bedding than there.
